We provide a free practical, emotional and legal support service which is unique in this country and delivered mainly by volunteers.
Like most charities the Road Victims Trust is governed by a board of Trustees who ensure that the staff and volunteers are able to access the right resources to deliver the service.

Becoming a Trustee
I have never been involved in a fatal road collision, or known anyone that was, and until I started working with the RVT I hadn't given much thought to the traumatic and far-reaching effect this has on the lives of the people involved.
From working with the team on development of a database system, I came to understand the importance of their role in helping people through the kind of dreadful experience that could happen to anyone. I observed the caring and professional approach they take to helping people and I wanted to help too.
Before I became a Trustee, Tony Parker (then Chief Executive) gave me a copy of 'The Good Trustee Guide' to read. It says trustees are people who are entrusted to look after money, or other resources, to ensure they are being used effectively to achieve the purpose for which they are given. I see being a trustee as being much more than that though - it is doing everything I can to support the fantastic work the team do to ease the suffering of the people they work with.
