STRAVINSKY Petrushka Martyn Brabbins is one of Britain’s leading and most versatile conducting talents, widely respected for his flawless musicianship, artistic integrity and programming skills.Petrushka is Stravinsky’s famous ballet and Appalachian Spring is a ballet score by Aaron Copland that premiered in October 1944, and achieved widespread popularity as an orchestral suite.The story told is a spring celebration of the American pioneers of the 1800s. NORIKO OGAWA (piano) was awarded third prize in the 1987 Leeds International Piano Competition and has since achieved considerable renown in Europe, America and in her native Japan where she is a national celebrity.
