In 2006/7 RVT’s income has been secured from the following sources:

As can be seen this income has been generated by ongoing fundraising activity which has included bids to grant-making trusts, foundations and local organisations, donations from individuals and events, such as the Gala Concert and Swimathon. RVT is not currently supported by any form of statutory or government funding.
Fundraising - the future:
The RVT continues to diversify its income streams by accessing funding from a number of sources including:
Individual committed giving:
We want to encourage local people to support our work.We have started this process and a small number of individuals are now supporting us through regular, committee gift aided donations. This process will be expanded during the next year.
Public funding:
We will seek opportunities for financial support by emphasising any commonality of our aims and objectives, the priorities of public sector organisations and fora, includingthe Local Strategic Partnerships,Local Criminal Justice Boards, Police forces, Coroners’ and Magistrates’ Court Services, councils and Primary Care Trusts.
Corporate Sponsorship:
We have had some initial success with securing support from local companies and we intend to increase sponsorship from the wider commercial sector.Opportunities exist for companies to support the RVT in a number of ways, including both financial and in-kind support. We also aim to develop a new dynamic web-site and offer supporters the opportunity to have links to and from it.
Grant-making trusts and foundations and local groups:
We continue to pursue all available sources of funding from local, regional and national grant making trusts and foundations.
We will also be forging close working relationships with local bodies which support charitable works.
Events:
The RVT has had some success in raising money from events, such as our well established annual concert, but this lucrative area of fundraising will be substantially developed.During the coming year for example we aim to hold balloon races, a variety of concerts, bucket collections at sports grounds and street collections.
